This is a list of helpful and up-to-date advice for approaching the Broly BR raid.

Solo

Soloing Broly isn't as easy as it used to be. Prior to red bean spam being nerfed,[1] a player could spam step-vanishing, Flash Strike, and/or Flash Skewer, to build up insane amounts of damage, and possibly kill Broly in under a minute. Despite all the changes to bean spam and Ki moves as a whole, the strategies for soloing are set in stone.

Usual Requirements

Damage Tips

Melee Damage

Moves recommended:

  • Flash Strike
  • Sweep Kick
  • Flash Skewer (Optional)/Flash Strike
  • Kick Barrage

Use several Red Beans before hitting Broly. With a high enough melee stat, this should one-shot his first form with just a few punches or kick barrage. Spam many punches (maybe flash strike) and maneuver around Broly so that he doesn't hit you as often and your punches aren't blocked as much. Once he reaches Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan Full Power, begin spamming Sweep Kick, Flash Strike, (optionally) Flash Skewer, and Kick Barrage.

Always move backward, do not block and keep switching between at least two of the moves. Doing this should keep Broly in a constant loop. If he starts blocking most of your attacks, wait until he resets after four attacks/missing Second Bloom and use Strike of Revelation.

In the event that you take too much damage or run low on Ki, do whatever you must to get both bars low enough to active UI/MUI/GoD. Once that's done, continue wailing on Broly until he dies. Be warned that teleport punches from Unstable or Mastered/Ultra Instinct can launch Broly away, wasting precious transformation time.

If Broly isn't dead and the timer is about to run out retreat, use the healing assist and return to your strongest form. Proceed as normal, as staying too far away from Broly for too long will automatically kick you from the game. For Androids, use the healing assist and lure Broly into shooting Ki blasts/Gigantic Breath at you whilst charging.

Ki Damage

Moves required:

  • Blaster Meteor
  • Sweep Kick
  • Flash Strike
  • Eraser Cannon (optional)

This set is mostly carried by Blaster Meteor. Use several Red Beans before hitting Broly with a Sweep Kick, then continue to use Flash Strike and Sweep Kick while waiting for Blaster Meteor's cooldown to expire. Aim Blaster Meteor in such a way that the majority of the attack hits Broly (the blasts mostly spawn out of the player models back). Broly cannot effectively block BM but he can Z-Vanish out of it on occasion, so be wary of that. Using Eraser Cannon is useful since it does good damage if you can hit it, sort of like blaster meteor but instead of multiple ki blasts it is just one ki blast. Eraser Cannon can be a useful spam move on the ground even if there is a cooldown.

God is way more useful than MUI/UI in this build. If Broly uses a punch on you whilst using Blaster Meteor, you teleport away and can end up missing him.

If Broly isn't dead as the timer runs out, retreat, use the healing assist and return to your strongest form. Proceed as normal, as staying too far away from Broly for too long will automatically kick you from the game. For Androids, use the healing assist and lure Broly into shooting Ki blasts or Gigantic Breath at you while charging.

Teamwork

The original intention was for players to fight Broly in a raid-like fashion ascertained by his monumental stats, PvP being disabled and players receiving EXP depending on how much damage they dealt to Broly. Unfortunately, Broly's AI is a little broken, hitboxes and collisions lead to players grabbing each other. Thankfully, it can still be fixed to some degree.

Usual Requirements:

  • A large group of friends or randoms that know what they're doing
  • Recommended for 4 people to have each type of Senzu Jars (Reds, Blues (optional), Greens, and Yellows)
  • Whis/Krillin Assist Characters (optional)
  • Area-of-Effect moves (Supernova, Eraser Cannon, Planet Crusher, Spirit Bomb, etc.)

Strategies:

If you meet the requirement, there are several ways you can engage Broly. One way is to have everyone spam explosive attacks on Broly (preferably on the ground, so if you miss, just aim below Broly) while spamming jars (green jars are still needed in case someone takes damage)

Another strategy is to fight Broly, but mostly spam rush attacks and Super dragon fist. This way no one gets seriously hurt as Broly's AI attacks whoever attacks him or whoever is closest. You do not need to have all the jars at hand for this one, only greens and reds.

For both of these strategies, it is advised you don't try to one-on-one Broly as it can lead to a lot of inconveniences for everyone, and can seriously slow down the process of defeating him.

Tips

  • Due to their low base stat totals, Saiyans will struggle more with solos than other races.
  • Similar to Jiren, a lot of Ki moves or melee attacks with multiple hits (e.g. Wolf Fang Fist, Meteor Crash) cause Broly to use Z-Vanish.
  • Broly's Wrathful Charge uses Ki Damage. Androids can charge their Ki Max or Health Max off of it, and any other race would be wise to block immediately.
